Why is everything so expensive with no nutritional value? Also deciving.. chicken and waffles had a fried cauliflower instead of chicken and cup of Kambucha is $7.5 and even though we set on the bar we needed to pay 20% tip? Why??
Awesome restaurant! This was my first time experiencing City O' City. I had high expectations after eating at their other restaurant Watercourse Foods. We waited a few minutes to sit, but the service was wonderful. The food was delicious! We ordered the large sausage and peppers pizza with the vegan cashew ricotta and the fried ravioli. Originally I figure we would have leftovers, but the food was so good we ate it all. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
MoreHands down one of the best veggie restaurants I’ve been to! The food is delicious & menu offers a great variety of options, including plant based “meat” dishes. Great drink menu & happy hour too! Love the atmosphere too—space is well designed & spacious & has a comfortable, effortlessly cool vibe. Staff was super friendly & professional as well
MoreLove this place. Everything I've had from their menu has been fabulous.
The first place I suggest people go when they get off the light rail from the airport. Great place for a light vegetarian meal and glass of water to acclimate to the altitude. The service is incredible, they always ask about food allergies, intolerances and restrictions to make everything is customized for your health. The food is all good and the pastries are excellent. The location is centrally locates and a great place to check out while exploring the city.
MoreAmazing vegan food! I could eat here everyday. Even my meat eating friends love this place. My favorite would have to be the philly cheesesteak. The place inside is very hip and the vibe is chill. The staff is also very friendly.
MoreI liked my food and service but it seemed the lady in charge was being absolutely terrible to her employees getting overly frustrated and looking completely unprofessional. Pleased with my food and service but whoever’s running this show seems to be just a mean person and I feel bad for anyone that has to work under someone like that. Tip your waitress generously
MoreThe service here is always amazing! Being plant-based I love all the food options! Have yet to try something I have not liked a favorite place to take my wife when we are in Denver or on special occasion.
MoreDelicious vegan food!! The bakery around the corner that is kind of the same place is AMAZING!!!!! They are also super nice and helpful.
MoreGood vegan options. Chick'n and waffles is super good!!
As usual love visiting new eateries that serve plants. Here in Denver late at night we needed food. This place was open and to our surprise parking was easy at 11pm on a Saturday even with some club activity nearby. The food was satisfactory for what we had and the circumstances. Having only eaten here once I can't say much more than that, but I sure wish we had food places like this at home.
MorePeople say it is the best vegan restaurant, but it is honestly just one of the best restaurants in Denver. The wings, the chophouse burger, the wraps, the salads...incredible.
MoreThis place was recommended by the Kimpton hotel. My server was Nathan. He did a great job of recommending dishes and was very efficient. The food was wonderful! I ordered the fried ravioli and the wings. It was very good. Came out fast. I highly recommend this place. Even if you're not a vegetarian. 😁Be aware that they charge 20% gratuity. I didnt see it posted anywhere. It just showed up on my bill.
MoreMoved here a year ago and pretty much every time we eat out, it's at City O' City. My roommate says "I would die for their seitan wings." Everything we've ever ordered has been amazing, from the barbecue bowl to the udon noodles to the entire brunch menu. Thank you City O City for keeping us going during this pandemic! And, staff are always super friendly and helpful, from wait staff to folks on the phone to the delivery folks.
MoreI'm not a vegan but I went to this spot with a friend who is and I was pleasantly surprised! Pretty cool that you can get really full eating a bunch of veggies! We went for happy hour and I had the vegan wings and they tasted pretty darn good.
MoreI dream of the vegan waffle. I’m not even vegan and there’s not one thing on City O’ City’s menu that I don’t absolutely love. Always the nicest staff too. I hope the community supports this restaurant, because we need to keep them around!
Morelong wait but well worth it! I had the chicken and waffles, it was amazing
City O City used to be AMAZING. They’ve been going through some menu changes and got rid of their iconic pretzel breakfast sandwich (they’ve changed it several times now). If you like something here...you’ll most likely only get it a couple of times before they change it or eliminate it. They were better off leaving it alone. PRICES WILL ALSO INCREASE So don’t expect those to stay the same either. Feels less and less like home every time me and my friends go in there. Disappointed.
MoreThe food is incredible. Everything was mouthwatering. I cannot wait to go back! Highly recommend.
MoreThis place is absolutely amazing, great service, friendly servers and the food.. the food is so delicious. Highly recommend.
MoreComing from Austin where vegan food is seemingly a norm, this place blew my family and I out of the water! We enjoyed the bruschetta, pozole & the chicken n waffles... along with Bloody Mary/mule/ale local beers... very delicious!! Will definitely be back for this gem. So good!!!
MoreI have pretty high standards when it comes to eating at restaurants, and City O' City exceeds them every time. I have adored almost every single plate and beverage I've ordered from this place. It is safe to say that it is my place to eat in Denver! I cannot recommend it more!!
MoreThat was the most overrated and overpriced hole in the wall food and drink I’ve ever had in Denver. Sorry but my cocktails aren’t even this expensive at Elway’s. Iffy service, no one seemed too concerned with where I sat even though multiple bar spots were not sanitized. I definitely expected more but will not be back.
MoreONLINE MENU HAS NO NUT/ALLERGEN INFORMATION!!! IF YOU HAVE DEADLY NUT ALLERGIES CALL BEFORE ORDERING!We ordered the fried ravioli (cashews) Chicken and Waffles and the bbq bowl (peanuts). There was no mention of the nuts on the online menu (see photos below). Manager on duty was dismissive when I called to raise my concerns and ask that allergen info be added to the online menu so that others don’t have this issue, potential hospitalizations, and that the restaurant cover themselves from potential law suits. Food was absolutely delicious, it just made my throat swell up.
MoreAmazing vegan food! I was told by every vegan friend who's been to Denver that I must go here and to Watercourse Foods (same owner). They gave me great advice! City O' City is one of the very best vegan restaurants I've been to and I've been to many of them. The great bar selections, the excellent staff, food and wonderfully unique atmosphere are all on-point all-the-way!Note: next door is a bakery owned by the same folks with soft serve vegan ice cream too. It's amazing as well!
MoreWhat happened to you City 'O City? I'm a life long vegetarian, and I used to love this place. The service was great, the food was good, and the atmosphere was on point. Now, not so much.About a year ago, basically everyone who used to work there left (I guess there was some disagreement with the new management), and everything went down hill. The new bartenders are pretentious and act like they're doing you a favor getting you a drink. Oh, and all the prices went up. Most importantly, the food isn't any good! If you get a sandwich, the bread is dry. The seitan wings make me feel like I just ate a pound of twizzlers, and the curry bowls are WAY too spicy. You can figure it out City 'O City, you used to be so great!
MoreLooks like cauliflower is getting a comeback. Love how they spice everything and add the right flower to these tacos 🌮. So amazing m, one of my favorite vegan places in Denver. Loved to walk to this place when I lived in capital hill. The coffee and the baked good are awesome as well to come and relax. The decorations add a nice ambience.
MoreI am absolutely delighted to have finally gotten into City O City. This is a lgbtqia trans-positive setting & incredibly welcoming. I truly enjoyed the wall art. The service was amazing the food tasty, yummie, & filling. I cannot wait to return...
MoreOne of my favorite places in Denver! Lively environment, absolutely incredible and healthy food (you’d never know everything is vegan!). Service is always perfect. Any time I have any family or friends come from out of town, this is where I take them 👍🏼
MoreI was thrilled to find a all-veg restaurant. Food was amazing! Only thing was very noisy.
MoreFood tasted great and they were super nice. 4 stars because I got sick, but I have a picky stomach. Will still go back and choose safer options.
MoreA local friend recommended this spot a while back. I finally got around to visiting and I'M IN LOVE!! As someone who is gluten intolerant (and occasionally adopts the vegetarian / vegan lifestyle), City O' City blew me away. Great prices, incredible variety, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere. The portions were perfect if not generous. I could hype this place up forever! I got the chicken (cauliflower) and waffles and a mocha on the side. Everything tasted out of this world. Nothing left me even close to disappointed. The batter on the cauliflower us just a bomb of flavor. My friend got the burrito and enjoyed it as well, even as someone who does not partake in the vegetarian lifestyle. I can't wait to come back to Denver just to hit up City O' City again! 🙌😍
MoreLoved it. I had really great service, was seated quickly and my food was delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was super tasty. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the potatoes were a little over salted like some other reviews stated but still taste good and my matcha latte could have been blended a little better. I will definitely be back.
MoreHad the Walnut and Sunflower veggie burger and the summer chickpea salad. Both were wonderful. Best veggie burger I've ever had tbh. And they were packaged for take out very nicely so that nothing got soggy or spilled. The staff were nice and they went above and beyond with sanitation measures when I went in to pick up, which was great to see. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Denver!
MoreGreat spot. I’m from Jersey, the friends I was with are from Atlanta and it was just a good time. I loved the food, the chicken and waffles were delicious, the fried ravioli as well. decent coffee and wonderful service. I really enjoyed the art one the walls. They feature an artist every month I believe. Music was good, I’d recommend a visit if you’re in town.
MoreGreat spot to eat brunch in Denver! Came here during our honeymoon. My husband who is vegan loved his meal, as did I. Lots of great vegan and non vegan options
MoreThe atmosphere in this place is wonderful! Great service and delicious food. I had the vegan omelette which uses JUST egg (I’m already a big fan of this product), the omelette made here was absolutely delicious. I also had a vegan cinnamon roll which was so fresh and flaky! The staff this morning was so wonderful! I will be returning in the near future!
MoreService was good but food was subpar. We've eaten there before and expected the same great experience but was sadly disappointed with how long it took to get our food (over 30 mins for 2 menu items and it wasn't busy), the food lacked flavor and was cold not hot. Very disappointing. Not sure if there are new cooks but we'd recommend getting new ones. They don't seem to care about their job and it shows in the quality of food they put out.
MoreI wish we had a cool spot like this in the Springs. Good vegan food and drinks. My only complaint is that the service was incredibly slow, and our server was not friendly or helpful. The place was cool, though. I will go back and hope we get better service. We had the poutine, pizza, and savory waffle.
MoreI usually dine in here while in Denver, for the 1st time we took it to go. Called in & got there earlier than suggested time for pick up & it was just coming out of kitchen. They always impress!
MoreOur waiter Jack was an absolute delight. The food was amazing. Traveling to eat here from Greenville SC worth ever bite. Godess it was wonderful.
MoreMan o’ Man! This restaurant is fabulous!! I can’t tell you how excited we were to eat here. This was our first time in a restaurant since May (COVID). We were really missing our favorite DFW vegan restaurant Spiral Diner so this place checked ALL the boxes.
MoreLook, the service will take it's own time - it's worth it - best vegetarian food in Denver (aside to its sister Watercourse) and it's always been that way. Seitan wings are a local fave, awesome pretzels with vegan cheese, fantastic drinks, always order a vegan ho-ho, best breakfast burritos smothered with white gravy (or vegan queso or veggie green chile).
MoreI do love the food here, but am discounting stars because I miss the late night happy hour! It’s a great vegan standby, killer breakfasts, but I sneak a coffee and pastry anytime I’m going to the art museum. As I said, I really miss their last night hour, as it was a perfect spot to get a cocktail or kombucha, and yummy meat free food for night owls or if you got home on a late flight from the airport. Please bring this back😢
MoreI’ve never been to a vegan place that wouldn’t let us sit outside with our dog. They made us order and wait off the property, in the street, for our food. It was over 96 degrees and we couldn’t even stand in the shade in their patio area. The food was okay but definitely too greasy. Coffee was terrible. The main lady was very stand-offish. It cost over $60 for two sandwiches and a pack cookies. Dirty feel. Will not be back.
MoreWent here with a group of people last night after we'd all heard great things. Us being all non-vegetarians, we were more than a bit skeptical. But a few hours later, can safely say was well worth the hype. I wouldn't of known all of our dishes were completely vegan. Service was fast and thorough, and the music and decor was great. Excited for our next trip.
MoreWhy is everything so expensive with no nutritional value? Also deciving.. chicken and waffles had a fried cauliflower instead of chicken and cup of Kambucha is $7.5 and even though we set on the bar we needed to pay 20% tip? Why? Can't you pay the servers from the expensive kambucha?
MoreDelicious food, friendly bartender! A peek at the menu left me with a tough decision after seeing too many delicious sounding options. Fortunately Willow helped me out by recommending the BBQ Mac Wrap with poutine with ricotta as the side. And her recommendation did not disappoint; a huge burrito found its way in front of me. The seitan could have easily passed for meat while the combination of sweet BBQ sauce and rich mac and cheese made for great comfort food. The poutine felt more like queso fries, but in a good way. The gravy-ricotta mix made for a savory side. I walked away full and happy with my dinner.
MoreMy wife and I just ate here for her birthday. We called ahead to secure a spot, and I ordered a cake from Make Believe Bakery ahead of time. Everyone I spoke to and interacted with were just wonderful. Shannon, our server, was awesome and super friendly. AND the food was out of this world! I gorged on the coconut curry noodle bowl at Shannon’s recommendation and my wife loved the “chicken” n waffles. We loved City O’ City, Make Believe, and the whole experience. Thanks for birthday cupcake and for being amazing!
MoreThe food is so delicious. I truly enjoyed the wall art. Highly recommend.
Delicious! I am trying to eat more vegetarian and their tofu was some of the best I’ve had. I ordered the bbq mac wrap and loved it. It had a nice crunch while still being creamy from the mac and cheese. It came with a light and refreshing salad. Yum! I want to try everything else on the menu!
